The popular Adeniran Ogunsanya street, Surulere is completely shutdown. This follows an attempt by area boys to access the Shopping Complex where Shoprite is located on the street.
As a result, all shops, businesses and banks operating on the entire district have been shut. Even adjourning streets like Bode Thomas have had businesses, restaurants and shops shut.
Police are on the scene and have made arrests. While vehicular movement was hitherto absent. People could be seen peeping through their windows. Walking is limited because of the heavy dose of tear gas in the air.

Reports this Wednesday say some mobs attacked Shoprite in Jabi area of Abuja.
