Updated: Bello Wins Kogi APC Primary, Irukera Gets 109 Votes

Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary which held on Thursday in Lokoja.

The governorship primary which took off without any major incident saw the governor clinch the party’s ticket with an unassailable lead after the result was counted.

Governor Bello scored 3,224 delegates votes to defeat his closest rival Babatunde Irukera who got a paltry 109 votes. Invalid votes came third with 54 tallies.
