Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has secured his second term by defeating Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party (LP) and Olajide Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is yet to formally declare Sanwo-Olu as the winner of Lagos State governorship election.
INEC is awaiting the results from Victoria Gardens City (VGC) where election held on Sunday. The total number of PVCs collected from the polling unit where election held on Sunday stood at less than 6,000.
But official results from the 20 local government collation centres show that the governor polled 739,526 votes.
He defeated the runner-up with 442,690 votes.
Rhodes-Vivour came second with 296,832 votes while Adeniran came far third with 63,849 votes.
