Following the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians living in South Africa, President Muhammadu Buhari will soon meet with his South African counterpart, President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Addressing reporters in Abuja on Wednesday, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nigerians In Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Mrs Abike Erewa, said the meeting will also dwell on other bilateral issues that will strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
She added that Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and that of South Africa will also meet as soon as the new cabinet of President Buhari is constituted.
They will continue with earlier diplomatic policy discussions on how best to tackle the tension created because of the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.
