Ekiti To Recruit 1,000 Secondary School Teachers After Paying N1,000

Ekiti State Government has begun the process for the recruitment of 1,000 teachers into the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).

This development came barely a month after the State Universal Basic Education Board(SUBEB) began the exercise for the recruitment of 1,100 teachers into the state public primary schools.

In a statement in Ado Ekiti on Sunday, the TESCOM Chairman, Chief Babatunde Abegunde, said Application forms will be available online from Monday, September 23, 2019.

Abegunde enjoyed interested applicants to note that they are required to pay an examination fee of N1,000 only to complete the process.

Abegunde assured the public that the exercise will be merit based and transparent , in line with the belief and principle of fairness introduced by Governor Kayode Fayemi.

“Only holders of the National Certificate of Education (NCE) and University degrees in education in subjects taught in Secondary Schools are qualified to apply”‘, he said .

He urged the prospective applicants to visit the website: www.ekitistate.gov.ng/jobs to access the forms and other relevant information about the recruitment exercise.

Abegunde added that completed forms should be submitted online between Monday 23rd September, 2019 and Monday 7th October, 2019.

“Applicants must print the acknowledgment slip on the last page of their forms which will serve as their entry pass during the qualifying examination to hold at a later date”.
