Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky who left Nigeria yesterday, has arrived Delhi, capital of India for medical treatment. Also with him is his wife, Zeenat.
The Islamic Movement In Nigeria (IMN) leader and her wife were received by medical doctors and wheeled into the hospital.
El-Zakzaky who is on a trip to India for medical treatment had earlier made a stopover in Dubai. It is not yet clear how long his treatment will last, or the nature of his ailment.
The spokesperson of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) said that Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife made a stopover at Dubai International Airport this early on Tuesday morning at about 4:00 am, after which they continued their journey.
The Islamic leader was freed on medical bail by a Kaduna High Court last week. He has been in detention after his arrest in December 2015, following altercations between his members and Nigerian Army officials.
