Reports from Bayelsa State indicate that Mrs. Beauty Ogere Siasia has been released by her captors. The older Sisia who is mother of former Super Eagles coach and international football player for country was kidnapped more than two months ago.
The Bayelsa State Police Command on Sunday confirmed the release of Beauty Ogere.
A member of the Siasia family, Eworikumo Siasia, also confirmed the good news. The 80-year-old Madam Siasia had been freed and she is at home with family members at their Odoni country home in Sagbama Local Government Area.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Asinim Butswat, a Superintendent of Police, said the police command would issue an official statement soon.
Siaisia had last week lashed out at government authorities at state and federal levels following what looked like lack of progress in securing the octogenarian’s freedom.
