Gunmen Attack Imo Community, Kill Oguta Monarch, Three Chiefs

A renowned traditional ruler and some of his chiefs have been killed by unknown gun men in Imo state.

Eze I.O. Asor, the Obudi Agwa in Oguta was on Monday shot dead by assailants while he was having a meeting with members of his cabinet.

Sketchy reports indicate that gunmen had stormed the meeting venue shot the elderly king. Three of his chiefs were also hit, leaving three dead.

Others present at the palace meeting were injured as they scampered for safety.

Mondays were declared as sit-at-home in the south-east by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Although, the protest is beginning to wane with occasional terror attack such as the Oguta type.
