Founder of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo is undergoing interrogation at the Force headquarters, Abuja.
He surrendered to the Police for questioning over rape allegations levelled against him by photographer Busola Dakolo.
Ms Dakolo is wife of popular musician, Timi Dakolo.
Fatoyinbo who arrived the Force Criminal Investigation Division (FCID) headquarters in Abuja with his staff was taken in while his staff were asked to leave the premises.
The pastor may spend sometime there considering the long hours spent by Busola when she was questioned. A source told politicos that it depends on Fatoyinbo’s cooperation. “He may be detained, it depends on how he comports himself. He may also go, to return tomorrow,” disclosed our contact.
Fatoyinbo ran into trouble with the law when in June, an interview with Busola went viral where she detailed sexual exploitation by the pastor while she was a minor.
Although the Fatoyinbo denied the allegation, but his promise to go to court failed to see the light of day. He temporarily stepped down as presiding pastor in his church in Abuja, a function he has since resumed.
There have been a back and forth over the procedure for investigation with different prominent persons and organisations weighing in. Even the First Lady, Aisha Buhari at a point tweeted what appeared to be support for the Dakolos.
More details soon.
