Kogi Decides: APC Screens Bello, Irukera, Yakubu Mohammed, Others

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State is among the first set of aspirants that turned up for screening in preparation for the upcoming primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This is ahead of the November 16 governorship election in the state.

The exercise, which commenced around 1pm, had no less than 10 aspirants. Bello is seeking a second term. The aspirants presented themselves before the members of the seven-man committee which was constituted by the party’s national working committee.

The committee is headed by Senator Hope Uzodinma.

Other aspirants that presented themselves before members of the committee, included Admiral Usman Jubril (retd.), former National Airspace Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) boss, Prof. Seidu Ogah, veteran journalist, Yakubu Mohammed, Mona Audu, Princess Hadiza Ibrahim, former PDP House of Representatives candidate, Bashir Gegu, former NFF boss, Sani Lulu and DG, Consumer Protection Council (CPC) and Tunde Irukera.

The screening exercise is expected to come to a close on Friday.
