Kogi Decides: PDP Rakes in N273 Million From Forms, Clears 13 To Jostle For Ticket

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) made N273 million from sales of its governorship and expression of interest forms in Kogi State.

All 13 aspirants aspirants were last week screened by a Screening Committee headed by the Governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku, at the PDP presidential campaign office in Maitama (Legacy House).

Aspirants cleared in Kogi State PDP include immediate past governor of the state, Wada Idris, Dino Melaye a substantive senator representing Kogi West, Erico Ameh a security entrepreneur, Aminu Suleiman and only female aspirant Grace Adejoh.

Others are Abubakar Ibrahim son of former governor of the state Ibrahim Idris, Kabiru Haruna, Musa Wada younger brother of another aspirant former governor Idris Wada, Saliu Atawodi (retd), Mohammed Adah, Victor Adoji, Baye Averehi, and Emmanuel Omebije.

National Working Committee of the PDP had fixed a N20 million fee for aspirants intending to contest the governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states.

The N20 million is different from the mandatory Expression of Interest fee of N1 million for every aspirant.
