The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded more than 1, 600 positive samples of the Coronavirus on Tuesday.
The fresh data shows 1,634 persons came down with the disease, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 133,552.
The NCDC disclosed this in a statement late on Tuesday night.
The country has so far tested 1,302,410 people since the first confirmed case of COVID19 was recorded on February 27, 2020.
The agency also confirmed additional six coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours bringing the death toll to 1,613 in the country.
It noted that the 1,634 new COVID19 infections were from 25 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The agency said Lagos state reported the highest number of infections with 440, while Anambra confirmed 160, FCT 158 and Rivers 134.
Amongst otherstates with new cases were Abia-103, Oyo-90, Enugu-81 and Osun-73.
