Nigeria’s COVID19 positive cases jumped over 200 on Sunday.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says 203 people tested positive for coronavirus.
The latest positive samples of COVID19 were recorded in five states and the federal capital territory (FCT), according to the agency’s statement for July 18, 2021.
The NCDC said Sunday’s update includes data from Oyo state for July 16.
States that recorded new infections are Lagos (186), Edo (4), Oyo (4), Rivers (4), FCT (3) and Kwara (2).
One person was confirmed to have died of COVID19 complications on Sunday, raising the country’s total fatality toll to 2,127.
According to the agency, 27 new recoveries were reported across the country in the last 24 hours.
A total of 169,532 COVID19 cases have now been confirmed — out of which 164,699 persons have been discharged
