Nigeria on Wednesday confirmed fresh Coronavirus infections across the country in a seven-day period that has seen more than 9,000 new cases.
A statement by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) showed that 1,398 samples tested positive.
Also, nine new deaths were recorded on Wednesday, making it a total of 58 fatalities confirmed within the past one week, and the toll has now increased to 1,382.
These infections were confirmed in 23 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Out of this, Lagos-542, FCT-131, Oyo-120, Rivers-113, Plateau-111, Kaduna-71 and Kwara-71 were the top infected states.
