President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Japan. He touched down at the Haneda Airport in Yokohama, Japan for the seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development.
The conference which begins on Wednesday with theme “Africa and Yokohama, Sharing Passion for the Future,” will take place in the city of Yokohama from August 28 till August 30, 2019.
Buhari like other heads of states will stay at the Park Royal Hotel which is reserved for VIPs attending the conference.
Conference will focus on Africa’s “economic transformation and improvements in business environment and institution through private investment and innovation; promotion of resilient and sustainable African society for human security; and peace and stability in support of Africa’s domestic proactive efforts.”
