PHOTOS: Buses Arrive To Evacuate Nigerians From Sudan

The Nigeria evacuation programme in Sudan has received some buses to transport Nigerian students to nearby Egyptian borders in preparation for airlifting to Nigeria.

The Nigeria Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

According to NIDCOM, airlifting will commence soon, while, preparation to receive them at Abuja Airport is ongoing.

Recall that Nigeria had paid at least ₦150 million to charter buses to move stranded Nigerians out of Sudan since civil aviation is currently suspended due to military conflict that has claimed over 400 lives (officially) in the last 10 days.
